The plain-English version of how ordering works. Anything you are unsure about, just ask.

Quotes and prices

Cupcake prices are listed on the flavours and pricing page. Classic flavours are included in the base price; specialty flavours and toppers cost a little extra.

Custom cakes are quoted individually, because the price depends on size, design and detail. A quote is based on the design we agree on, so if the design changes the price may change with it.

Booking your date

Send an enquiry through the order form and you will get a reply within 24 hours. Once the details are confirmed, a deposit secures your date.

Dates are limited and are booked in order of confirmed deposits, not in order of enquiry.

Deposits, changes and cancellations

How far ahead to order

At least 2 to 4 weeks ahead for custom cakes, and longer for large or tiered designs.

Shorter notice is sometimes possible. Ask, and you will get an honest answer rather than a rushed cake.

Pick-up and delivery

Orders are collected from Altona Meadows in Melbourne’s west, at a pick-up time arranged with you.

Cakes are decorated to travel, but once an order leaves the kitchen it is in your care. Keep it level, keep it cool, and avoid the boot on a hot day.

Allergies and dietary needs

Gluten-free recipes are available.

The kitchen also handles wheat, egg, nuts and dairy, so a completely allergen-free cake cannot be guaranteed. Tell Kate about any allergies when you enquire and she will be upfront about what is possible.

Your details

Still being confirmedWhat happens to the name, email, phone number and event details submitted through the order form needs a written answer before it goes on this page. In practice they are used to quote and fulfil your order.
